Observations et histoire de la classification de la description
The description emphasises the resemblance to banka Eltringham. Whilst some authors classify this taxon as a form of rangatana Eltringham, Carcasson & Ackery (1995) classify it under serena Fabricius. Collins & Bernaud (2021) describe the species bankoides.
